The best memories my life has always been powered by memories of travel. In fact, it is something that has brought me this long in life where the zest to travel has always been high. It does not really take a lot of time in case we want to set off on a trip with all our hearts. Hence most of the trips I have been on have always been quickly planned. The journeys have been made from various places and this time we were off to someplace nice, located on to the south of India as the place is the less taken route for us. My family has always been travel freaks and hence we have not really had a hard time in setting off to a place less traveled. Also, both I and my sister had completed our studies due to which all we had to do was set off when the parents were free. Accordingly, we set off on a Kerala tour package with family all the way from Delhi where we had been moving with all happy vibes to the Gods own country. It took us a transit flight to reach the destination from where we had been picked up by the responsible tour planners we had set up for our journey.
On reaching the hotel for the night stay we had been looking out of the balcony for the city of Cochin had been pretty good a view for us. The food was served in the buffet hall of the hotel where we stayed together and had some good food and slept for the next day was the big day where we would begin the traveling. We rose up to the sun and had our breakfast after which began the journey along with the driver who began with greeting us. The itinerary had been handed over to us following which we got to Mattancherry. The streets definitely called for us and following it we walked after getting down from the car. The place indeed had a special aura that gave it a foreign land look. And that was to be appreciated is what my father had been telling as we started the travel. In the meanwhile, we also got to sight amazing jewellery and other handicrafts that had been displayed in the various shops. My mother and sister went to the place and I and dad took some good pictures of the place. We proceeded where we walked through the Jain temple viewing the beauty the place held in itself. we also got to sight the pigeons that were being fed there. The place was beautiful which was captured in the photos where each of us posed in it. On walking further we got to see a lot more of street shops.
On walking inside, we realized that there was a ferry stop there. On inferring further we were told that the place has ferry service. We decided to have some good time by taking a boating service that was being provided there. It took us around for a quick ride through the sea and then we made our way back where the driver had been waiting for us on the other end. The travel continued where we had been taken to the Fort Cochin beach. The place was located very close to each other that it only took us short drives to reach the destination. The Chinese fishing nets and the beautiful street made it look beautiful. We sat there and had brunch from a sea view restaurant after which we decided to move forward with the trip where the next stop was the St Francis church. The factor that made the church famous was that Vasco Da Gama had been buried in the place during his death after which years later, the remains were taken back to his native.
That was the final sightseeing destination for us at Kochi where we made our way to the next place. We had been on our way to Munnar Post lunch where we reached by 8 pm. The night stay for our family had been set up where the night went by in the best possible manner, with some good hot food and amazing campfire. The next day began the sightseeing through the place where Munnar had been one of the greenest destinations that I had seen. The first destination that I visited was the Top station where the parents preferred to visit the Cloak tower while I and my sister took a walk down the steps that took us to the beautiful viewpoint. The place was what one could call the epitome of greenness. And that is also why we felt staying longer in the place. After spending some good time there, we climbed back and got some food and drinks for the walk had been quite tiring. The travel continued and this time to the Eravikulam national park. The place is quite famous for the fact that Nilgiri Thars are being protected in the place. We got to spot them inside along with a lot more of other animals like monkeys and deer. Dad was a forest enthusiast due to which he had pretty good a time loitering inside the park. And the final place for our sightseeing in the destination was the Lakkom waterfalls as it is mandatory to stop by one falls in the destination. And we were glad of visiting the place for the cold streams had been soothing us through the place. On the way back we got to see Mattupetty Dam through the window and that took us back to the hotel for the night stay.
That is about certain journeys where you can never be fulfilled by the beauty that shimmers through such places. On the travel, we had been to places like Munnar and Cochin which had indeed been the best of places we could have visited. In fact, both the places had been different in so many ways where one had been a city shimmering in light and the other had been what one could refer to as the best naturistic places I had on the Kerala tour package. With a heart filled with the contentment of travel, we began the travel back for we had a lot more to plan for the next travel that we could make in some time, for travelers always find it the best to plan trips than anything else.
